In her project "Ce qu'il reste", Bénédicte Blondeau addresses the tension between the cool mastery of manmade environment and the strange majesty of organic forms slowly shaped by the natural elements and evolution.

The collaboration with the publisher made the project evolve in a remarkable way. During a residency spent in their studio in Lisbon, Bénédicte was invited to question the nature of her artistic intentions underlying her project. This experience was decisive in the pursuit of her artistic practice as it brought her face to face with the very essence of the motivations behind her creative process. This enabled her to gain a deeper understanding of her previously highly intuitive approach.

The result of this residency was published in a beautiful book by XYZ Books in 2019.
